Orders are generally shipped within 24-48 hours of receipt. Please allow about 3-10 business days for free shipping option. Remember that weekends and holidays and the day that your order ships are not considered shipping days by UPS or FedEx. JUMPSTARTBIKES is not responsible and can not be held liable for items left unattended upon and/or after delivery. It is the buyers sole responsible for making sure that their items are being delivered to a secure location. We strongly recommend that buyers make arrangements to be available on the day of delivery.
At the sole discretion of JUMPSTARTBIKES, if the package doesn’t show up after 3 full business days, then as the shipper JUMPSTARTBIKES can contact FedEx to file a claim. The claim can take 24 to 48 hours and if the package doesn’t show up then JUMPSTARTBIKE can, at their discretion, re-submit an order for a new bike, but will require a different shipping address (friend, work, relative, etc) and may require a signature upon delivery.
Only new, un-opened, un-assembled, and un-used products may be returned within thirty (30) days of delivery for a full refund of the cost of the goods, less shipping cost. Return shipping cost is the responsibility of the buyer. Returns and exchanges are only provided to original buyer, and return/exchange policy does not apply to gift recipient.
All bikes have been engineered to safely perform when correctly assembled by a skilled bicycle technician in a bicycle shop. If buyer/recipient's technical skill is not sufficient to correctly follow the assembly instructions, or if buyer/recipient lacks any of the tools listed which are required for proper assembly, please take your balance bike to a local bike shop for professional assembly. The cost of this service is not included in the purchase of our bikes.
The moving parts of our balance bikes have been lubricated and professionally set at the factory. The wheels and headset are adjusted such that a certain amount of “break-in” is necessary for optimal performance. Our bikes are sometimes stored in an unheated warehouse and this causes lubricants to harden temporarily. An initial break-in period of 10 hours (riding time) will loosen all lubrication, and bearings will perform exactly as required. Early stiffness of wheels or other moving parts is not considered to be a defect.
Production of 12" bicycle wheels is extremely difficult due to the tight 4" radius that the rim's extrusion is bent. For this reason, a perfect 12" bike wheel simply does not exist. A certain amount of lateral "dance" is acceptable and not considered to be a defect. We will inspect and straighten the rear wheel of all bikes equipped with a rear v-brake, to within +/- 0.5mm tolerance. Front wheels are not examined or adjusted because there are no front brakes, and a very slightly dancing front wheel does not affect the bike's performance.
Coupon code, also known as promotional or promo code, are limited to one (1) per order. Multiple coupon codes used during checkout will be voided at time of purchase or thereafter. The buyer will be responsible for the difference in price. Coupon codes are not valid and will not be honored to third-party vendors, affiliates, dropship and/or known competitor orders. All U.S. citizens are responsible for paying their country and/or state duty taxes. Duty is collected prior or at time of delivery by the frieghter. All buyer/recipient/user acknowledges and agrees that cycling is an inherently dangerous activity, and assumes all risk and responsibility for any and all consequences of accidental mishaps, including injury and death. Avoid steeply inclined areas where excessive speed may result. Ride only in places where motor vehicles are not allowed (sidewalks, parks, bike paths). Professional assembly, periodic service and maintenance is the responsibility of the buyer/recipient. Inspect tires, brakes and fasteners before every ride. Repair/replacement of parts exhibiting excessive wear is the buyers/recipient's responsibility.
